Hi, I’m Ty Hardigree and this is my story of hair loss, and how the Naked Beanie by American clobber was born.
2018 was a year of great change for me, it was filled with illness and hospitalizations and a major surgery, I found myself and middle-aged men overweight and balding looking and feeling older than I should have, so I changed my diet, my worldview and shaved off my thinning hair. It was already fall and I suddenly realized that without hair my head would get cold in the winter something I had never experienced since I had been hot natured all my life. It seems that even thin hair adds a level of insulation in the cold, but then I started thinking about the summer sun as a funeral director I've had in my had burned in the past the while in a cemetery, cemeteries can be grueling. I thought now I have a lot more skin to burn and you haven't lived until you've experienced sunblock in your eyes even the very expensive kind that says it's water resistant and doesn't run obviously they've never perspired that heavily while wearing it on their head and forehead but I digress.
I've always liked beanies but never really liked to wear them; because to be honest they messed up my hair as hair thins the texture seems to change and maintaining it can become a daunting task, so I avoided things like beanies and windy days as best I could and if it was going to be a windy day I just added more Hairspray, or some sort of hair product, but those things only somewhat masked the fact that I was losing my hair on top, but it did nothing to cover up the four inch balled spot it my crown.
I spent months looking for the right beanie with the right fit they were all for the most part too big and too bulky, so after quite a period of time I decided to design my own now I thought this was going to be easy after all it was just a beanie, I mean it just needed to fit well, look nice and be functional this took months to get right and numerous prototypes I truly never imagined that it could be so difficult to design A product to fit a man's head well it was game on. I attended Fashion Week in Miami searching for the right fabric the right manufacturer this beanie was my purpose in life. Finally, after months of searching for fabrics and manufacturers I knew that manufacturing had to be in the US, so that I had absolute control over the quality of the product the naked beanie was born.
This is a well-fitting beanie that is very tactile, its fit is part of its charm it is very versatile it can be used as a liner under a bicycle or motorcycle helmet it can be worn while swimming even in the ocean. The beanie is produced from fabric that is made 100% from recycled drinking bottles it blocks out 97.5% UVA and UVB radiation.
The ChitoSanté Treatment features are Antibacterial, clean and hygienic, odor resistant, Breathable, fast drying moisture management and wicking, non-toxic and environmentally friendly treatment
This beanie is designed for the man or woman who has everything, but hair whether it be by nature or choice. It is a one size fits most application, it works well for people with hair as well, as they were part of our beta test group. I hope you love this product as much as I do it was truly a pleasure to design and manufacture. When your beanie reaches the end of his life simply throw it into the recycle bin and let it start anew.
